Had a brilliant time out in Rome last week, where I was teaching bodhrán at the Rome Irish Fleadh. Huge thanks to all the organisers for inviting me out and looking after me so well. For me it was heaven, enjoying the best food & fine wine that only Italy can offer. I was in good company too. The other tutors were Tommy Peoples, Brian Finnegan, Kathleen Loughnane, Elaine Cormican, Eoghan O’Brien, Marco Fabbri, Cormac Cannon, Daithì Kearney & Deirdre Nì Chonghaile. We played a few sessions over the weekend and put on a Concert featuring all of the tutors, which was a huge sucess. I managed to squeeze in a few tourist attractions too and was just blown away by the place.
